I was so happy when I learned what a philomath was.
It’s someone that seeks to gain as much knowledge as possible about as many subjects as possible.
And it’s a much nicer way to refer to yourself than having “hobby ADHD,” which is what I’d been using.
If it’s new to me, I want to understand it. So I do a lot in my spare time. And most who know me well will say that I don’t do anything halfway.

I can speak intermediate French and a tiny bit of Japanese and German.
I’m a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200).
I used to have a blog and host my own podcast for beginning gardeners.
I preserve my own pasta sauce, pickles and salsas.
I think white chocolate tastes like disappointment.
I’m an Enneagram 1w2, a Myers-Briggs INFJ and a Predictive Index “Scholar.”
I’m from northeast Kansas but will always think of Chicago as home.
